The Welcome Center Südlicher Oberrhein cordially invites you to an exciting in-person presentation and interactive workshop titled “Gaining an Edge in Securing Skilled Workers through Intercultural Management – 5 Golden Rules for Successful and Efficient Communication in the Workplace” on November 5, 2024, at 5:00 PM, at the premises of the Chamber of Crafts.
The workshop is free of charge and will last approximately 3 hours.
Due to the ongoing shortage of skilled workers, recruiting international professionals and apprentices from both abroad and domestically will be of utmost importance for the lasting economic success of most companies in our region. We would therefore particularly like to invite company leaders and employees with HR responsibilities, who are looking to recruit international professionals and apprentices, retain them within the company, or who are already doing so.
You will learn what culture entails and how it influences us and our behavior at work. Essential principles of intercultural communication (especially the topic of perception) will be introduced through surprising and eye-opening exercises. Additionally, different behavioral patterns in selected target cultures will be compared and contrasted with your own. The following questions, among others, will be addressed:
- What role does culture play in job interviews?
- How do I give proper feedback while taking the intercultural dimension into account?
- What leadership style is appropriate for which cultures?
As a guest speaker, we are pleased to welcome Mr. Alexander Wurz, founder of Open-i-Consulting, lecturer at German and French universities, and keynote speaker at conferences for business representatives and journalists across Europe. Alexander Wurz holds a diploma in “International Business Studies” as well as in “Psychological Counseling” and is a “Certified Professional Behavioral Analyst” and “Certified Professional Values Analyst.” He has completed several trainings in neuroscience, enabling him to combine the latest findings from brain science with intercultural leadership and communication.
Over the course of more than 26 years, he has led numerous consulting projects for multinational companies and conducted seminars for executives across Europe, Africa, the USA, Asia, and the Middle East.
If we have piqued your interest, we would be delighted if you could attend! Spaces are limited, so we kindly ask for a binding registration.
