Are you an international qualified professional who either already lives in the Southern Upper Rhine region or would like to take up employment here in the future? Or are you currently a student at one of the universities in the region? Then we wish you a very warm welcome! The Welcome Center Südlicher Oberrhein will be happy to support you and your family during the immigration process and upon arrival in Germany.
The influx of international skilled workers like yourself helps to meet the high demand for skilled workers in the region and secure the future viability of local companies. At the Welcome Center Südlicher Oberrhein, we aim to support the integration of international professionals into the labour market by advising both companies who have hired or who wish to hire skilled professionals from abroad and the professionals themselves.

We offer one-on-one consultations for individuals and companies and can refer you to relevant partners in our large regional network, should you need assistance that exceeds our expertise in a certain area. We provide consultations in multiple languages on the following topics:

• Visa and residence regulations
• Recognition of professional qualifications
• Search for employment and the application process
• Regional labour market
• Extended vocational training
• German language courses
• Local government offices, insurance companies and banks
• Search for accommodation
• Family (family reunification, schools, day care …)
• Cultural and leisure activities
